Rates are one-way private-pay. The first 10 loaded miles are included. Waiting is $80 per hour, no-show is $50, and oxygen is $25 when supplied by the facility. Return trips and other special handling are quoted before confirmation. Dialysis and therapy use the relevant mobility rate; recurring schedules are quoted. Broker-only rates are not public rates.

What do the private-pay rates include?

Each one-way NEMT base rate includes the first 10 loaded miles. Additional mileage and applicable waiting, no-show, oxygen, return-trip, or special-handling charges are listed in the rates section.

Where and when does Shield Care operate?

Shield Care reviews requests across Port St. Lucie, Stuart, St. Lucie County, Martin County, Indian River County, and northern Palm Beach County. Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 7 AM–7 PM; extended hours, weekends, and holidays require advance request and remain subject to availability.

Does submitting the form confirm service?

No. The form records an inquiry. Service is booked only after dispatch confirms availability, appropriate equipment, timing, and price.

Will insurance or Medicaid cover transportation?

Coverage varies by plan. Published rates are private-pay rates, and no insurer or broker participation should be assumed unless Shield Care confirms it directly.
